Creating SalesNOW Call Logs from BlackBerry Calls

SalesNOW allows you to create a SalesNOW phone call log following and incoming or outgoing BlackBerry phone call. To turn on the SalesNOW Capture Call Logs feature, see Turn on Capture Calls.

To Save to SalesNOW a phone call log following a phone call on your BlackBerry (assuming that you've turned on capture calls), do the following:

  1. Following the phone call, you will be prompted Create SalesNOW Call Log. Highlight OK and click the trackball.

  2. Notice that if the phone call was with a contact with a phone number matching a phone number of a SalesNOW contact, the system will automatically associate this call log to that contact (and their associated company record)

  3. You can also manually associate this call log to a contact. To associate the call log to a specific contact,

    1. Select an existing contact by clicking the magnifying glass image\ebx_-752130004.gif and clicking on the contact name to which you would like to associate. (Note: if the contact is associated with a company, that company will automatically be associated to the Call Log as well.), or

    2. Add a new contact by clicking the green plus sign image\ebx_-580437850.gifand entering the contact information, pressing the Escape key and clicking Save

  4. To associate the call log to a specific company,

    1. Select an existing company by clicking the magnifying glass image\ebx_-752130004.gif and clicking on the company name to which you would like to associate, or

    2. Add a new company by clicking the green plus sign image\ebx_-580437850.gifand entering the company information, pressing the escape key and clicking Save

  5. If you would like to associate this call log to a lead or deal, click the magnifying glass image\ebx_-752130004.gif next to Lead/Deal field and select the Lead or Deal that you would like to associate to this call log

  6. Enter any Notes that you would like to record on this call log

  7. Highlight Save and click the trackball to save this call log to SalesNOW

Note: The system will automatically store the date, time and duration of the call within the SalesNOW Call Log.
