Deals Overview
Deal records in SalesNOW store information about actual business opportunities. The deal record stores a variety of information, each separated by a dark green title bar, including:
- General Information this is the deal's basic information such as the deal's name (such as the ABC Manufacturing Deal, the deal's contact and/or company association, deal type, deal source, status of deal (active, won or lost), estimated value, anticipated close date, deal stage, probability, call back date and notes.
- Custom this section stores information from any custom fields that may have been added to the lead/deal record by your SalesNOW Administrator. Note: the custom bar will not appear if there are no custom fields that have been added on the lead/deal document.
- Secondary Owners this section stores the names of any secondary owners of this deal. A secondary owner is another SalesNOW user within your team that has also been given access to view and edit this deal record.
- Contacts this section stores the names of any contacts that have been associated with this deal and also their roles.
- Companies this section stores the names of any companies that have been associated with this deal and also their roles.
- Emails this section stores any emails that have either been sent to or received from any contacts and manually associated with this deal. Note that email attachments are not stored within SalesNOW.
- Calls this is a list of any calls that have been associated to this deal.
- Meetings this is a list of any meetings that have been associated to this deal.
- Tasks this is a list of any tasks that have been associated to this deal.
Note: To display information contained below a specific dark green title bar such as emails click show at the top right of the title bar. Similarly, to hide information contained below a specific light green title bar, click hide at the top right of the bar.
