Record Ownership

Each record within SalesNOW, such as a Contact, Company or Deal record, has an owner. If you are the owner of a deal record, for example, that record will display in your My Deals view - see My | Secondary | All Record Views. Also, that record will be synchronized to SalesNOW on your BlackBerry.

When you create a new record, such as a deal record, you will be set as the owner of that record which appears in the first field of the record. To reassign a specific deal record to a different user, for example, click on the Deals tab and follow these steps:

  1. Click on the deal name to open that specific deal record

  2. Within the Owner field click [change]

  3. Click the magnifying glass beside the Reassign To field to select the individual to whom you would like reassign the deal record

  4. Check the box to Reassign All Related Data if you would like all associated data (such as the associated contact, company, email and activities) to be reassigned as well

  5. Click continue to proceed with the reassignment

Note: Once a record has been reassigned to another individual it will no longer appear in your My Deals view or in SalesNOW on your BlackBerry.
