Creating Call Logs

SalesNOW allows you to create call logs following incoming or outgoing phone calls. Unlike a SalesNOW scheduled call, which is synchronized with your iPhone calendar (see Scheduling Calls), SalesNOW call logs are not synchronized with your iPhone calendar and do not provide the option to invite a contact to attend the call. SalesNOW can automatically prompt you to create a call log following any call on your iPhone. For more information, see Creating SalesNOW Call Logs from iPhone Calls.

To create a call log within SalesNOW on the iPhone, follow these steps:

  1. Tap Contacts on the tab bar. If the Contacts tab is not visible, tap More, and then tap Contacts

  2. To open the contact for whom you would like to create the call log, tap the contact record
  3. Tap Log next to the phone number against which you'd like to create the call log
  4. Enter the call log's information.
  5. Tap either the Deal, Lead or Case button if you'd like to associate the call log to a deal, lead or case and select the appropriate record
  6. Enter the call log notes
  7. Enter any custom information related to the call. (Note: custom fields will not appear if there are no custom fields that have been added on the call document by your SalesNOW Administrator. See Customizing SalesNOW)
  8. Tap Save to save the new call log

Note: Call logs can be created directly from a Lead, Deal or Case record. Simply open the lead, deal or case record, tap Menu and then tap New Call Log.
