Exporting Records

To export records from SalesNOW to a spreadsheet, start by clicking on the appropriate tab - such as Contacts, Companies, Leads or Deals - to display the list of records.

Records can be exported in one of three ways: all records in a view, a group of records or individually. To learn how to export records individually or as a group, refer to the section Managing Multiple Records.

To export all records in a view, such as My Deals for example, do the following:

  1. Click export at the top right of the record list. This will export all of My Deals, for example,

  2. Click Save to save the export file to your computer to open later or

  3. Click Open to View the export results immediately. Notice that the data for each record that is exported will appear on a single row in the export spreadsheet. The data within each of the standard fields will display in each column. Data from any custom fields that may have been added (see Customizing SalesNOW) will also display following the standard fields.

Note: The spreadsheet export feature exports the data in a .XLS format. This requires that you have Microsoft Excel 2003 or later installed on your computer.
